Only those who have made application -directly or via nomination- (please fill “Young Researcher Award Application Form”) will be considered for the
award.

Award will only be granted to outstanding young researcher who is author or co-author of a contributed paper in the congress. One application/ nomination shall be accepted for each
paper.

Any researcher (graduate student or engineer) who has not reached his/her 33rd birthday by November 30th would be
eligible.

Applications will be evaluated on the session basis and the candidate(s) for the award will be selected by the evaluation committee
concerned/session coordinators.

Candidates for the award will be announced 15 days prior to the congress. The candidates will then be required to prepare their posters following the rules depicted for “poster presentation” of the congress. The posters shall be submitted to the congress coordinator not later than 09 November 2006 11:00 a.m.

The posters will be posted in a common hall and remain in place till the end of the
congress.

Voting will start from 3:00 p.m. of the first day and will terminate on the second day at 5:00 p.m.

The voting members are congress delegates, Congress Advisory Board, and Board of Session Coordinators, each on a separate ballot. Each voting member is entitled to one
vote.

The results of each ballot normalized to 100 shall have an equal weight and the award will be conferred to those canditates with highest total scores provided that these are above 2/3 of the full score (i.e. 300). Up to 3 equivalent awards may be
granted.

Young Resaercher Award shall be announced, and Award Certificates will be presented during the congress dinner on the third day of the congress.
