Professor Takashi Goto

Dr. Goto worked as associate professor at Tohoku University, Japan, until 1996. In 1998, he became full professor again at the same university. Dr. Goto visited University of Aberdeen, UK, between 1990 and 1992 as a research fellow. He is deputy director of Institute for Materials Research of Tohoku University, since 2006. He is a member of several professional societies, such as; The Ceramic Society of Japan, The Japan Institute of Metals, The Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy, The Atomic Energy Society of Japan, The Thermoelectric Society of Japan, and The American Ceramic Society. Some of the awards and honors that Dr. Goto received are; Japan Institute of Metals Meritorious Award in 1995, American Ceramic Society Richard M. Fulrath Pacific Award in 1997, Ceramic Society of Japan Awards for Academic Achievements in Ceramic Science and Technology in 2002, and Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy Award for Distinguished Achievements in Research in 2007.
